What if the game of learning is rigged so that students never get to score?

Who’s Winning?………………………….Who Scored?

Usually they are the same question.
In a game like football or basketball,  the one who is scoring is the one who is winning. Why, because the one scoring is the one who has the ball.

But how come that does not work in the game of life?

Easpecially, how come that does not work at school, when the one doing all the scoring is the teacher? or the State examiner following No Child Left Behind standards?

The teacher scores the student test. If the student fails, the student loses. Only the teacher has scored. Only the teacher has won. Only the teacher has the ball.

What kind of game is that?

If who scores equals who wins, Isn’t it time that the student gets a chance to win?  Isn’t it time for the student to score? Isn’t it time we give the student the ball, so they get to play in the game of life learning?

No more half time pep talks from coaches trying to motivate us. No more time-outs to meet parents who agree with the teachers that we are penalized, off-side and out of line.

Isn’t it time for MYSCORE?

Isn’t it overtime for MYSCORE?
